CNR 2013: Lectures: Vojtech Vonasek (CZE)

Vojtech Vonasek, MSc., is a PhD student and researcher at Department of Cybernetics, Faculty of electrical engineering, CVUT in Prague.

His research is focused on motion and path planning in robotics, especially for mobile and modular robotic systems, and physical simulation.

In 2009-2013, he participated in EU projects Symbrion and Replicator, where he developed fast on-line algorithms for motion planning and navigation of modular robotic organisms.<

Abstract:
In the presentation, selected research problems studied in robotics will be described.

Besides overview of currently used robotic platforms (e.g. mobile robots, micro-aerial vehicles or manipulators), we will describe recent results in modular robotics. Modular robots consists of many autonomous modules, that are able to form various robotic organisms to meet operational demands.

To create such a general-purpose robots, several challenging issues need to be solved.
